Measurements provide the foundation on which civilization builds its institutions and activities. No enterprise functions without them; no business operates in their absence; no system of human values or events succeeds if measurements are missing.

If it walks, talks, or just lies there someone has figured out a way to measure its performance, problems, and potentials.

A question: Have we become servo-mechanisms of our measurements? Or, can we still shape our measures to fit our needs? After all, our sales force will be called upon to apply today's measurements to secure tomorrow's success.
